Faction Leaders: Unclear At This Time.
Headquarters: Avalon City, Uthelion
The League of the Compass Rose is the collective faction which draws on the powers of the four mantled Ashir, formed post-flood as a combination of their individual factions (the Templars, the Warbringers, the Chaos Knights, and the Soul Traders). Of the four factions, the Chaos Knights and the Soul Traders appear to have undergone the most changes, with the Chaos Knights being renamed the Chaos Warriors, and with the Soul Traders returning to their previous incarnation as the Arbiters (and with Law disconnecting himself from the pseudonym of Father DiAngelis).
As the Ashir in question have been notably MIA since the launch of the Beacon, the connection between them and the League has become largely a formality. While each branch of the League does trace their origin and the sources of their power to their respective founder, at some point post-flood a method was found to further share the mantle pieces given to faction members without needing the presence or involvement of the Ashir who held the mantle itself. As a result, many League members have never actually met their founders despite being fully capable of wielding the abilities associated with them.
Outside of their historical association with the factions more personally headed by the mantle-holders, the League is closely involved with the Avalon Ascendancy, the governing body that emerged from the ashes of antediluvian Lyonnesse and the collection of islands who have sworn allegiance to it. The Ashir and their orders were integral to both the immediate post-flood protection of Avalon City and the subsequent creation of the Ascendancy to fill the power vacuum left by the death of King Uther Pendragon and his family in the early days of the defense. When the Ashir left with the Beacon, those of their orders who remained founded the League to continue their protection and support of the Avalon Ascendancy.
